    Figure C

    Materials:

Bowl of proper depth (figure A)
Piece of slate or tile (your choice)
    Water pump
Small bowl of your choice (an ordinary planter was used on-air)
Several pieces of stone (different sizes)
    Trinkets or small decorative plates
    Water
    Greenery
    Candle and candleholder

    1. Place the slate or tile on the table.

    2. Place the bowl on top of the slate or tile.

    3. Place the water pump in the middle of the bowl, making sure the cord is draped toward the back.

    4. Use the small bowl to disguise the water pump and cord (figure B).

    5. Arrange the stone pieces to anchor the water pump (figure C) and to give the water's flow a diverse path.

    6. Continue to arrange trinkets or small plates. Be creative and have fun with the decorating aspect of this project.

    7. Now it's time to test the pump and the arrangement of the stones and other trinkets. Pour some water into the bowl and turn on the pump.

    8. Add the greenery.

    9. The final touch is a candle and candleholder. If they're placed beside the tabletop fountain, the light from the candle will glisten off the water.

    Maintenance Tips:

    • Water should be added to the fountain approximately every third day.

    • Add a small amount of bleach or petri oil to the water to cleanse the fountain. This will keep the water shimmering.
