Host Michele Beschen is getting wired today by working with metal, electrical, telephone and automotive wire. Her first project warms the creative spirit—a custom-built fireplace screen with just wire, cafe rods and macrame hoops. She unveils what's inside some of the wire that's out there so you can really tap into colorful creations such as tassels and brooches. And then Michele messes things up with a crazy chandelier that starts out a bit on the chaotic side but ends up being a beautifully organized light fixture—made out of clothesline wire.
Michele also creates a quirky work of art to go with the fireplace screen.
