... and includes tags that reminisce about the meals prepared and family times shared.

A box of family recipes was handed down from a mother to daughter, and again to a granddaughter. Wondering how the brittle old cards could be preserved as a family keepsake, Shelli Gardner decided to copy them and add them to a heritage scrapbook page. The recipes -- and the scrapbook pages created -- serve as a reminder of the warmth of family and good food.

    Materials:

Frame & Flourishes and Classic Caps sets
Black, brown, cocoa and caramel cardstocks
    Striped vellum to match
    Black ink pad
    Stampin' Pastels
    Journaling marker
    Ivory narrow organdy ribbon
    Sponge daubers
    Stampin' Dimensionals
    Black embroidery floss
    Buttons (vintage if desired)

    1. Trim a sheet of striped vellum to 5-1/2" x 11-3/4" and layer onto a sheet of light brown card stock that has been trimmed to 11-3/4" x 11-3/4". Layer both onto a full sheet of black card stock.

    2. Stamp the frame, tags, and title on caramelcard stock with black ink; and allow to dry completely.

    3. Chalk the stamped images with the sponge daubers and Stampin' Pastels, then shade to add depth. Trim and mount each image on black card stock.

    4. Thread black embroidery floss through buttons and attach buttons with Stampin' Dimensionals to page.

    5. Layer smaller photo on browncard stock. Tear bottom edge and mount on large tag. Mount larger photo underneath the frame and attach both photos and journaling tags to the page, over ends of embroidery floss.

    6. Mount recipe on black card stock. Wrap organdy ribbon around recipe and attach to page.

    7. Add journaling to page with journaling marker.
