Julie Larssen shares her tips and techniques for quickly putting a page together -- using pre-made embellishments.

Materials:

Periwinkle solid paper
Periwinkle plaid paper
Fuschia plaid paper
Lime solid paper
Lime plaid paper
Lemon plaid paper
Lemon solid paper
Cream Twistel or raffia
Lemon and fuschia buttons
Flower die-cuts
Glue dots
Foam adhesive squares
Sticker letters
Photos

1. Trim periwinkle petite plaid paper, then mount on periwinkle solid dark paper. Next, trim a 2" x 11-1/2" strip of fuschia plaid paper and mount to top of page.

2. Trim a 3" x 11-1/2" strip of lime solid dark paper and mount at the bottom of page.

3. Trim four 2-3/4" squares from lime plaid paper and mount to the 3" x 11-1/2" lime solid dark strip.

4. Assemble flower parts & pieces. Then tie a 12" piece of cream Twistel or raffia through two lemon and two fuchsia buttons (after tying, open the ends of the raffia pieces and arrange as desired). Use glue dots to adhere buttons to flowers (figure A).

5. Mount to lime plaid squares at bottom of page.

6. Use stickers letters to create the title (figure B).

7. Mount photos to lemon plaid paper, then mount on lemon solid paper. Trim and mount to page.
