Lori Bergman shares a technique to add wedding memorabilia -- such as a flower girl's petals -- to a special wedding page. Materials: Roller adhesive Lamination machine Light green damask paper White vellum paper Burgundy and white cardstock Decorative-edged scissors Large green tag White mini brads Heart brad 1/16" and 1/8" hole punches White sheer ribbon Dried rose petals Wedding memorabilia - Trim approximately 1/4" from each side of green damask paper. Mat with a white cardstock cut with decorative-edged scissors. Adhere both to burgundy cardstock using roller adhesive.
- To create pocket flap, cut a 6" x 12" vellum strip and trim sides to match width of damask paper. Run line of roller adhesive about 1" from top of vellum strip. Arrange dried rose petals over adhesive (figure A) and run through lamination machine (figure B). Trim laminate straight along both sides and bottom edge. Silhouette cut around the petals, leaving a slight reveal.
- Align bottom edges of pocket flap with damask paper, punch holes with 1/16" punch, then use brads to secure flap to layout.
- Place a piece of vellum over green tag and trace circle pattern along the inner edge of the metal rim. Laminate a single petal to the center of the circle, then trim around traced line. Punch hole in center and secure with heart-shaped brad ( figure C). Tie small bow through tag to complete. Adhere tag to layout.
- Add memorabilia to pocket as desired.
