Watch this video to learn how to create fun shapes using journaling templates!

Looking for ways to turn your journaling blocks from "blah" into eye-popping presentations? Journaling templates may be the solution you seek! Designer Joy Macdonell offers tips for using templates.

    • When using templates, a pen or pencil may be used to draw straight journaling lines (figure A), but a Vanishing Ink pen is ideal for those who want to avoid visible lines. When used, the pen will leave pale purple shadows, but will soon disappear from the paper (leaving no permanent lines) after journaling has been completed.

    • While journaling templates come in a variety of sizes and styles, many leave room for a cropper to incorporate his or her own creativity. For example, this template (figure B) leaves a space for a large letter or decorative sticker.
