    Project by Mellette Berezoski.

Mellette creates a background for a layout with fabric and a fabric "belt" for your layout.

Fabric can add texture and richness to a layout, even without a sewing machine. Add a homemade touch to your page by using fabric as a stunning background for a photo. This page also uses coordinating fabric as a lovely ribbon accent.

    Materials:

    Bazill Basics textured card stock
    Junkitz fabric
    Junkitz buttons
    Paper House Productions flower die-cut
    pressed flowers
    Creative Imaginations alphabet stickers
    Chatterbox flower tack
    Making Memories silver brads
    Elmer's spray adhesive
    stapler with staples

    1. Fray the edges of the pink and white striped fabric by removing end fibers. Note: The fabric comes precut to 6" x 12".

    2. Turn fabric piece over and spray lightly with adhesive.

    3. Adhere to card stock approximately 3/4 inch from left edge.

    4. Mount large photo on white card stock. Adhere to card stock and fabric background 1 inch from top edge as shown.

    5. Cut two 1" x 12" pieces of coordinating pink fabric and fray long edges.

    6. Tape ends to back of layout, about 4 inches from bottom edge.

    7. Wrap pieces around to front of layout and tie together (figure A). Trim ends and fray.

    8. Cut a 1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of pink and white striped fabric.

    9. Attach over ribbon as shown with silver brads (figure B).

    10. Apply alphabet stickers for title on striped background fabric.

    11. Adhere small photos, journaling strips and embellishments as shown.
