Mary Lyon, host of DIY Crafts, shows a table made from used tires and a fleckstone-decorated disk of plywood, and a coffee table built out of boxes and a covered mirror. She also describes a wine bottle used as a drip-candle holder.

Mary stacked five old tires and put a round plywood disk atop them to make a table. The plywood disk was spray-painted with a stone finish. Adjust the height of the table by adding or removing tires from the stack. The tires can be secured with cable or duct tape. Cover the table with a cloth for more formal occasions (figure A ).

Put a candle in the top of a wine bottle, and let the wax drip down to cover the outside (figure B).

Cover three cardboard file-storage boxes with wood-grained Con-TactB. paper. Decoupage the edges of a mirror, and place the mirror on top of the boxes to make a coffee table (figure C).
