Author Nancy Javier creates a distressed frame with an English garden theme. Materials: Unfinished wooded frame with wide, flat molding Paint 2 mini half-pots 1 mini shovel Spanish moss Sandpaper Foam brush Small dried plants or leaves Seed-packet image or photograph Glue gun, glue sticks - Use foam brush to paint frame. Allow to dry thoroughly before applying second coat.
- To distress the frame, use coarse sandpaper to remove some of the paint from the frame's surface (figure A).
- Glue Spanish moss to frame.
- Glue mini pots over Spanish moss. Insert dried leaves in pots.
- Glue shovel to the frame (figure B).
- Insert seed packet or photograph into frame.
