    Figure D

    Materials:

    Pine or rose petals
    Grosgrain ribbon
Sprigs of lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage
Herbs such as lavender, chamomile, and calendula
    Muslin bags
    Sea salts
    Rose petals
    Twine
    Cheesecloth
    Dish with a lid

    1. For herb sachets: place herbs in muslin bag one at a time or put several herbs in a bowl and mix them up and them place in the muslin bag (figure A) and tie them up.

    2. For sea salt sachets: place 2 cups of sea salt in a dish with a lid and add some fresh rose petals (figure B).

    3. Add some fresh or dried rosemary and calendula and a few drops of scented oil (figure C). There are a variety of scents available. A lot of these supplies can be purchased at health food stores and they have small booklets available that tell you what each oil is all about.

    4. Mix together and let rest for two weeks.

    5. Remove handful of sachet and place in cheesecloth and tie into a little bundle.

    6. To make an herb bouquet: place sprigs of lavender, rosemary, thyme, and sage in cheesecloth and tie with grosgrain ribbon (figure D). Your host can tie this to the faucet so water pours over it as the tub fills.

    7. Once you made all these goodies, place them in a basket lined with handkerchiefs or napkins.
