Notes on materials:
The main yarn for both the tank and skirt needs to have some stretch. Some yarns, such as Patons Katrina, achieve this through the style of ply (in the case of Katrina, a wrapped bamboo). Other, such as Cascade Fixation or Adriafil Stretch, contain a small amount of elastic or Spandex. It's possible to make both the tank and the skirt in yarns with little stretch; the difference will be reflected mostly in the difficulty in getting the garments on and off, as these designs are meant to be fitted. You can work some ease into the pattern by moving up one size.
The contrasting yarn for the skirt can be any worsted to bulky novelty yarn (one with texture, such as eyelash, or sparkle would work well) that you can work with a 5.00mm hook.

Pattern notes:
This circle skirt is worked in the round. For the purposes of this pattern, join at the end of each round and turn. Carefully placed decreases are used to create crocheted darts, which is how this garment achieves its hip-hugging curves throughout the hips and into the waist. Do not assume to know your measurements without taking them first -- good measurements are essential to a proper fit! Complete instructions are given to lengthen or shorten so that you can achieve the perfect fit.
