    Here's an easy way to get perfect, sharp corners on an upholstered chair seat:

    Lay the fabric right side down, place the batting on top and then put the wooden seat on top of that. At one corner bring the batting and fabric diagonally in toward the board and staple or nail several times. Bring one side in and staple; repeat with the other side. Continue around the board until all the corners are tautly covered.

    Another way to handle corners is to cut off the excess fabric and batting diagonally across each corner; then fold the sides up and staple.
