Bookmarks made from ribbon and buttons serve a useful purpose.

DIY Crafts host Vicki Payne makes easy bookmarks for the books you have beside your bed. Materials:
Ribbon
Pair of buttons
Needle and thread
Pinking shears
- Measure a length of ribbon to extend beyond the height of a book. Cut the ends with pinking shears at an angle or in a V shape.
- Stitch one button on each end of the ribbon.
- Place the ribbon near the spine of the book to mark the page. The buttons prevent the ribbon from slipping through.
