DIY Photography host Rick Sammon offers the following tips to improve the quality of your photographs: - Take the time to compose carefully, paying special attention to detail and light.
- Fill the frame, zoom in, and get a tight shot. If you include a lot of sky and there're no clouds, that's dead space -- something you don't want. But that doesn't mean you have to be an in-your-face photographer.
- Include only those elements in the scene that really tell the story.
- Add depth and dimension by adding a foreground element (figure A).
- If you're planning to shoot wildlife, wear clothes that blend with the environment.
