The Suhockis and DIY to the Rescue team build a sewing corner for Anne Marie Suhocki. Adding this designated space will give Anne Marie to have enough space and storage to work effectively in her bonus room.
Materials:nail gun trim pieces - 5 per shelf (1 x 2s) wood glue measuring tape router and round over bit crown molding pieces power paint sprayer wood putty paint for shelves 4 x 8 piece of birch plywood chalk line table saw nail punch table saw 1- 1/4-inch dry wall screws
Steps:1. For the sewing corner, use a stud finder to find out where to install the ledger strip (Figures A, B, & C).
2. To make the six cubby unit, glue nail and screw the pieces together just like the other shelves and entertainment center (Figures D). This unit will sit under the counter and also act as a support.
3. After laying down the counter top, use 1 ¼ inch screws to screw the ledger strip along the bottom of the countertop into the one on the wall studs we installed earlier (Figure E, F, & G). This will provide a solid connection for the whole unit.
