Storage Bench Seating

Old cabinets double as bench seating.

Materials:

2 cabinet-like storage squares
1 door
2" foam
fabric
4 rosettes
hardware

1. Prepare the door by lightly sanding.

2. Cut the door (figure A) to double the length of the storage bench. Choose a middle point on the door to keep the same design on both pieces.

3. Permanently attach the door to the back of the storage box using "L" brackets, corner brackets and straight brackets (figure B).

4. Cut the foam bases at 40 inches.

5. Create slipcovers for the foam (figure C).

6. Paint each piece.
