Craft expert Betty Ann Lasley uses dried materials to cover a small plastic foam wreath.

    Materials:

    Small plastic foam wreath
    Foam craft brush
    Tacky glue
    Sheet moss
    Waxed paper
    Ribbon or fabric strips
    Low-temperature glue gun
    U-pin
    Dried leaves and flowers

    1. Use foam brush to apply tacky glue over entire surface of foam wreath.

    2. Apply moss to wreath (figure A). Use waxed paper to press the moss and securely adhere it to foam (figure B).

    3. Make a loop of ribbon and hot-glue ends to wreath (figure C). Center U-pin over ends and press through wreath until top of pin is flat against the surface.

    4. Use hot glue to attach a layer of dried leaves around the front surface of wreath (figure D). Add layers of flowers or petals -- arranging as desired -- directly over leaves.

    5. Allow to dry throughly before hanging.
