Today's wedding photography offers a more sophisticated style -- often influenced by fashion photography.

According to Deborah Triplett, the best wedding photography captures the essence of a couple's relationship.
Wedding photography captures the special moments of your day and provides lasting memories. For this reason, you should consider spending more of your budget on photography, and carefully meet and consider whom you'll want to capture those moments. Wedding photographer Deborah Triplett offers tips for selecting the best photographer.

    • Expect to spend anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars to secure the services of a reputable and talented photographer.

    • Find out if the quote received includes black and white, color only, or both color and black and white -- an option preferred by many of today's couples.

    • When interviewing your photographer, ask the following questions: can I keep the proofs? Can I get a CD of images or purchase my negatives? How many hours do you work? Do you book more than one wedding per day?

    • Book your photographer one year in advance if possible.
