This patriotic page is proof that texture can be used in several ways to create a coherent feel -- the wire, eyelets and movement of the letters work together to mimic the movement of a flag.
    Materials:

    sandblast cardstock
    navy cardstock
    deep red cardstock
    texture fibers
    eyelet setter
    hammer
    hole punch
    eyelets
    eyelet letters
    glue
    star charms
letter stamps (to spell "celebrating"--or a motif/theme stamp)
    silver craft wire

    PHOTO

Eyelets allow letters to swing freely--adding movement to the page.

    1. Trim navy cardstock to 5-1/4" x 12", tear top edge and mount near bottom of sandblast cardstock.

    2. Trim red cardstock to 1" x 12", tear top edge and mount at the bottom of the navy cardstock.

    3. Trim navy cardstock to to 2-1/2" x 12". Tear the bottom edge and mount 3" from top of the page. Use a hole punch and eyelet setter to mount one eyelet in each corner (figure A and figure B).

    4. Lay 13" length of fibers between navy cardstock strips and adhere ends to back surface of page.

    5. Cut red cardstock into three 3/4" x 12" strips. Tear bottom edge of one strip and mount at top of page. Tear the top and bottom edge of another strip and mount 1/4" below top strip. Tear the top of remaining strip and mount 1/4" below middle strip.

    6. Cut a 2-1/2" square from the navy cardstock. Crinkle, flatten and mount to top left-hand corner of page.

    7. Mount three star charms over navy cardstock.

    8. Stamp "celebrating" on flag. Place eyelets through the hold in eyelet letters. Use hole punch, eyelet setter and hammer to attach "America" title to flag.

    9. Mount photos on deep red cardstock and trim. Bend an 8" piece of silver wire.

    10. Place wire at the top of one photo and adhere ends to the back of photo. Wrap two 5-1/2" pieces of silver wire around remaining photo and adhere ends to the back of photo.
