Juliana Hudgins adds texture to her page using adhesive mesh.
 |

 Mesh and beads are the perfect way to jazz up a page without making it too feminine. Here, Hudgins uses the technique to highlight a recent photo of her son.

Materials: clear white vellum black cardstock decorative handmade paper of choice mouse pad decorative nailhead 2" x 10" Magic Mesh or other adhesive mesh bugle beads faceted beads 24-gauge gunmetal wire round nose pliers photo corners white tacky glue sequins

- Place clear white vellum over black cardstock.
- Cut handmade paper to 4" x 11", and place on top of vellum and cardstock.
- Place mouse pad under each corner of the decorative paper and insert a decorative nailhead through all 3 layers of paper. Repeat step on each corner of decorative paper.
- Cut a piece of adhesive mesh to 2" x 10". Center mesh over decorative paper (figure A).
- String bugle beads and faceted beads on to a piece of 24-gauge gunmetal wire , then attach beads to mesh using round nose pliers (figure B).
- Center 8" x 10" photo to the right side of the page, using photo corners to attach.
- Add bugle beads on bottom edge of photo (figure C) with white tacky glue (so that the bugle beads will just be touching the edge of photo and the bottom edge of paper ).
- Adhere sequins to top of page above photo with tiny dots of white tacky glue.
