    Materials:

    30 gauge artistic wire
    13 clear 8mm crystals
    26 clear 3.5mm square beads
    39 clear 8mm seed beads
    6/1.80mm steel hook
    2 small safety pins
    silver or pewter clasp
    wire cutters
    sewing machine

    1. Thread beads onto wire in the following order: crystal (size 8mm seed bead, 3.5mm square bead) twice, size 8mm seed bead (figure A). Repeat 12 times.

    2. Make a chain 19 inches long.

    3. (Right Side) Single crochet in second chain from the hook and in each chain across, turn.

    4. Mark the center (at 43 stitches) with a safety pin at each end (figure B).

    5. Chain one, single crochet to the first stitch with the safety pin.

    6. Chain one with an 8mm bead, chain one with square bead, chain one with 8mm bead, chain one with crystal, turn, slip stitch up the wrong side of the chain to the top of the chain. Single crochet in the next seven stitches of the necklace; repeat six more times. Single crochet in each stitch of the necklace to the end of the row, and then turn. Note: The last chain of the beads should have been placed at the last safety pin. Keep all chains with beads at the right side of your work.

    7. Chain one, single crochet to the center stitch between the first and second bead fringe.

    8. Chain one with an 8mm bead, chain one with a square bead, chain one with an 8mm bead, chain one with a crystal, turn, slip stitch up the wrong side of the chain to the top of the chain, single crochet in the next seven stitches of the necklace; repeat five times. Single crochet in each stitch of the necklace to the end of the row, and then turn.

    9. Chain one, single crochet across, and then fasten off.

    10. Smooth with your fingers to block. Sew on a clasp with the tails of the wire remaining at both ends.

    11. Thread beads on the wire in the following order: Crystal (size 8mm seed bead, 3.5mm square bead) twice, size 8mm seed bead. Repeat 12 times.

    12. Make a chain 19 inches long.

    13. (Right side) Single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across, and then turn.

    14. Mark the center (43 stitches) with a safety pin at each end.

    15. Chain one, single crochet to the first stitch with a safety pin.

    16. Chain one with an 8mm seed bead, chain one with a square bead, chain one with a crystal, turn, slip stitch up WS of chain to the top of the chain, single crochet in the next seven stitches of the necklace. Repeat six times.

    17. Single crochet in each stitch of the necklace to the end of the row, and then turn. Note: The last chain of beads should have been placed at the last safety pin. Keep all chains with beads to the right side of your work.

    18. Chain one, single crochet to the center stitch between the first and second bead fringe.

    19. Chain one with an 8mm seed bead, chain one with a square bead. Chain one with an 8mm bead, chain with a crystal, turn slip stitch up the wrong side of the chain to the top of the chain, single crochet in the next seven stitches of the necklace. Repeat five more times, single crochet in each stitch of the necklace to the end of the row, and then turn.

    21. Smooth with your fingers to block.

    22. Sew on a clasp with the tails of the wire remaining at both ends (figure C).
